Hi
Somehow I've had a couple of users who have registered for events have also managed to register on the site bypassing the membership pro component. I have the plugin set to redirect all registrations to membership pro but it doesn't appear to be working.

It's causing me huge problems having to explain to users and always having to check the backend to see if registrations have tried to register with membership pro.

Hi Christina

I don't really understand the issue. If you enable user registration in Events Booking, they can register for a Joomla account while registering for an event

Not sure what's the problem with it?

I don't want people to register for a joomla account while registering for an event as it is bypassing membership pro and giving them a joomla account they can't activate and they aren't paying for membership. It's an organisation website, only paid members can access discounts in events, or certain content.

I've looked and can't see where it says event registrations can register on the site.

Hi Christina

If you don't want public users to register for the event and account, better edit the event, set Registration Access to Registered

By doing that, public users won't be able to register for event, only registered users can register

That should solve your concern

Hi Tuan

I need public registration for events, people can sign up for events and pay the full price, and paid registrations can sign in and get a discount so setting access to registered doesn't work for me. Is there anyway to force public users who register for events to go through the membership pro component?

Hi Christina

Unfortunately, we have no way to for them to do that. Maybe instead of giving normal registered users received discount, you can;

1. Config Membership Pro to assign subscribers into a different Joomla user group, for example Paid Members

2. Then config your events to only allow users from that Paid Members user group to receive discount

By doing that, even if users register for an account in Events Booking, they will still not receive discount. Will that work?

The other option is disable Users Registration in Events Booking. Then on top of registration form, you can add some text to tell users that they can sign up via membership pro and receive discount for registering for event and include link to sign up page in Membership Pro

I have a group for members in membership pro that paid members go to. Disabled user registration in events, but users seem to still register. Can I send you an email with an account to take a look?

How do you know that they register via Events Booking? Maybe they register directly via Joomla core user registration somehow? Maybe publish this plugin membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/miscel...tion-redirect-plugin would help?

Regards,

Tuan
