From/to times

There is a difference between times in the database and times in the subscriptions screen.....

The database and a php extraction gives a time of 2016-07-03 00:00:00 and the subscription screen gives 07-02-2016. The detail for that subscription shows 2016-07-02 19:00:00. Why don't they match?

The data stored in database using GMT timezone. The data in your screen is your timezone (or your site timezone). If you want to see the same value, go to System -> Global Configuration, look at Server tab, change Server Time Zone setting to UCT timezone and it will be the same
