How do I turn off renewals until the timeframe that I set?

I have Membership Pro installed and have annual renewals for all members. I received a notification that a member was able to renew in May 2018 even though all renewals are set for November 2018. I can't find a way that I prevent members from renewing prior to November. Can you help me?

Go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, there is a config option called Allow membership renewal X days before subscription expired (X is an textbox input, empty by default). Enter the value you want there (for example 10) and subscribers won't be allowed to renew their subscription 10 days before expired

It should prevent the issue you are having
