Question about using Joomla ACL for Plan Access was created by Kevin Morrison
My need for Membership Pro goes well beyond the built in functionality of the extension. While it does offer some very rudimentary methods for setting up plans and assigning articles it fails miserably at how it looks and organizes the content on the frontend if more than one plan is subscribed to.

My idea is setting up some custom user groups and creating my articles and categories to be viewable based on the Joomla ACL I setup. My question is if I do this, while there is an option in the plan setup for Joomla groups settings that gives me control to assign the user to specific user groups I dont know what might happen? If I go this route and a user subscribes to multiple plans that will obviously have different user groups, will the user then be able to be assigned to multiple groups or will Membership Pro remove them from a plan group they are active in and move them to another group?

I suppose I can go through the steps to test this but want to save the time and aggravation since this extension has already caused me enough of that for one year...;)

Hi Kevin

You can go with that route. When users subscribe for multiple plans, they will be assigned to multiple user groups (not being removed from one group and assign to new one when they sign up for new plan)

They will only be removed from the groups you configured from the plan when their subscription expired. As long as their subscriptions active, they will remain in multiple user groups

Regards,

Tuan
