Allow expired members to login

How can I allow expired members to login to renew?

By default, Expired subscribers can still login. Maybe in your site, they are being blocked (the Joomla user account) and that's the reason they could not login? If so:

1. You will need to unblock the already blocked accounts so that they can login

2. You need to go to Extensions -> Plugins, find the plugin System - Membership Pro, click on it to edit, set Block account when subscription expired parameter to No (It's No by default, maybe you set to Yes for some reasons)

After that, it should work as expected

It was set to No.

I think I solved the problem by creating a user group called Expired Members and giving it login permission and then setting the subscriber plans to change the group of expired subscriptions to it.

Is this a wrong way to do it?

That way should work, too. But I still don't know why expired subscribers could not login with default setup
