DPRP is disabled for this merchant. was created by nate covington
Hi Tuan,

I just bought the Membership Pro and Paypal Pro plugin. I am getting this error message when testing to create a subscription:

Subscription failure
Your payment for the subscription was failure. Please review the reason below and try again
Reason
DPRP is disabled for this merchant.

I don't see this under my PayPal account. It looks like this thread is saying to use Payflow pro instead?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
-Nate

Hi Nate

In short, PayPal Pro is not enabled in your PayPal account by default. You will have to contact PayPal and ask them to enable it for you

Please contact PayPal supports, give them that error message. They will check and enable that feature for your account so that you can use it. And PayPal also charges you monthly fee for using this option, too

Hi Tuan,

Thanks for the tip. PayPal Pro was already added to my account, but the recurring options (save credit card on file, recurring subscriptions) required a separate phone call.

However, since my account with PayPal was "old" (PayPal Pro V2? V3?) it seems like they might have been trying to push me into their PayFlow Pro system. Ugh! What a headache.

I wound up cancelling PayPal Pro and switched to Stripe. Much better! After I bought your Stripe plugins I was up and running in a matter of minutes.

Cheers,
-Nate

Hi Nate

Yes, that should be the right choice :). Stripe seems to be better payment gateway from what I heard from our customers

Also, Membership Pro supports Stripe, better, too (it has option to allow customers to update credit if needed, see membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/subscr...s#update-credit-card )

Regards,

Tuan
