PayPal Subscription Status was created by Oscar Ruiz
With my current setup, a subscription paid by PayPal gets the subscriber an "Active" status.
How can I change that so the subscriber gets a "Pending" status when a payment is submitted by PayPal?
Thank you.

Hi Oscar
No, you cannot change it unless modifying the code. What's the reason you need it to be pending instead of Active? Please note that if someone subscribes, then if they ignore payment process when they are being redirected to PayPal (ie close the browser), they will have same Pending status - so it's confusing.
Better use it as how it is

Hi Tuan:
I am using Membership Pro to accept online applications and membership record keeping for an organization that requires every new subscription to be approved or denied by the Board of Directors. If the application is denied, the PayPal payment gets refunded.
Can you help me modify the code so every new subscription defaults to a Pending status and have the administrator manually change it to Active?
Thanks.
Oscar

Hi Oscar
Go to Membership Pro -> Payment Plugins, install this modified version of the plugin.
After that, it should work as expected

Tuan
