Can a FIELD be used to assign the subscriber to a CATEGORY?

I'm interested in this concept, since it would allow me to design my member list display appearing to be supported by user by Job Type?

I'm thinking I can populate a MEMBER LIST by CATEGORY (general job category), so employers can more easily view them for consideration.

In this manner, I can let an employer view the list of their choosing...instead of a long laundry list.

Just an additional thought:

Perhaps....all the field are within the same Main Category....and all the Duties I'm specifiying can fall under a sub-category.

RADIO TALENT POOL .... Main Category

All of these could be sub-categories under Radio Talent Pool

Account Executive
Air Talent
Engineering/I.T.
General Manager
Music Director
News
Operations Manager
Production
Programming
Promotions
Sales Managers
Traffic Manager
Research

I'm just trying to figure out how I can make my MEMBER LIST Display job specific out of the overall database.
