Hi,

Please forgive for not understanding this.

I'm using Membership Pro and need to complete the payment portal process.
My client has a PayPal account which they currently use to receive payment for Memberships and Events.
So I set up the pre-installed PayPal plugin and used my PayPal Sandbox account to start testing system payments.

When taking payments via PayPal, there is no problem and everything works perfect.

Here's my question...(also, I'll ask you if this same rule applies to Events Booking, which I'm using as well)

I've used other e-commerce extensions that offer a pre-installed plugin called "PayPal Standard" which offers payments via PayPal AND Credit Card payments VIA PayPal. The client pays the fee and the transaction is processed, but it all is through PayPal Standard Plugin.

When using this pre-installed PayPal plugin, it appears there is only an option to login to a PayPal account...AND NO OPTION TO PAY WITH CREDIT CARD, VISA/MC/AMEX/DISC.

Am I missing something or does this mean I need to purchase your PayPal Pro plugin for $24.99?
Can I simply find the plugin online and download and install it into Membership Pro & Events Booking?

Any guidance with this is truly appreciated.

Hi Mike

It is all controlled by PayPal, see membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/troubl...-available-on-paypal

Maybe you should test it using Live PayPal account to see whether there is any difference

Tuan

Hi Tuan,

Thanks for the link to the article, it was very helpful, yet I still haven't resolved this issue yet.

I switched to "Live" mode and still no "Credit Card Payment" button, but then I noticed that the URL showed "sandbox.paypal...."

Please look at the screenshot. Why is it going to that URL even though it's Live?

Is this the issue with the missing Credit Card payment button?

If not, I need to fix this no Credit Card Payment button, do you suggest I reach out to PayPal support directly?

Thanks again for all your help!

Hi Mike

Unless someone customized the code of PayPal payment plugin. it should not redirect users to sandbox url on Live Mode

You can submit a support ticket so that we can check to see why it still redirect to sandbox URL on Live Mode

Hello Tuan,

I owe you a big apology. I made a mistake. I switched to using Membership Pro half way through my project. When I went back to work on it after a week off, I went back to using E-Shop, but the information was in Membership Pro. Once I realized this, and corrected the settings in Membership Pro, everything works perfect.

Please accept my apology, I am so sorry to have wasted your time.

Thank you for the outstanding support and excellent extension.

Sincerely,
-Mike
