Renewal date was created by Dave Sire
We allow our members a grace period to renew their annual subscription after their expiration date before we block their web access. When an annual membership is renewed after the expiration date, the new subscription expiration date is one year from the date it was “renewed.” However, if a membership is renewed before the subscription expires, the new expiration date is one year from the expiration of the current subscription. Consequently, those who might take advantage of the grace period, can effectively extend their subscription beyone the one year.

Obviously, we could reduce our grace period, but I was wondering if there is a way to have a user’s late renewal expiration date be based on their expired subscription. In other words, start the one-year new subscription when the old subscription expired, much like a timely renewal doesn’t begin until an existing subscription expires. For example, someone renewing an annual subscription one month late would affectively be paying for the past month and the 11 upcoming months.

Hi Dave

This is unfortunately, not supported by Membership Pro. And to be honest, I don't think it is fair to ask subscribers to pay for that last month because during that last month, he is expired and cannot access to restricted resources on your site

The point of Membership Pro is keeping the subscription duration for the subscribers. For example, if they renew early, their new subscription will be started from end date of the current subscription,. If they renew late, their subscription will be started from the date they renew

Regards,

Tuan
