Hi,
Currently, when a user subscribes using an eCheque via PayPal, the membership status is "Active" instead of "Pending". As eCheque's take between 5-7 days to clear, the membership status must be initially set to "Pending". We're currently having to do this manually and it can be frustrating. We've had instances when a user subscribes with an eCheque, grab what they wanted and then cancel the payment leaving us out of pocket.
Can this be done by the component?

Yes, the component should be able to handle it automatically. Could I ask is your plan one time or recurring subscription plan?

Hello Mark
What version of Membership Pro you are using? I checked code of latest version and don't think it could happen (as we do verify and make sure payment status is Completed before set subscription to Active
Maybe you are using old version?

Tuan,
I'm using version 2.3.0 because our website uses J2.5. I'm hesitant to update because of compatibility and that old saying: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
Updating to the latest version is compatible with Joomla 2.5?

Honestly, I stopped the development for Joomla 2.5 long time ago. Please get the file components/com_osmembership/plugins/os_paypal.php, zip it, then upload it here
I will look at it and modify code to solve this issue and send it back to you

Hi Tuan,
Thanks for the fix. I uploaded the new file and received a white screen of death when browsing to the "Sign Up" page. I had no choice but to restore the original file.

I am afraid of the file was broken during upload (I saw some blank lines in the file you sent me)
You can submit a support ticket sending me super admin account of your site. I will upload and make sure the file is not broken for you
