Hi Tuan

I have just noticed a potential big worry about Members who update their details through our website sorry.
If a member logs in and and changes their DOB on the Edit Profile page - after clicking the Update Profile it wipes clean all the data related to that member in the custom field boxes we have added over time.

We store extra information in these boxes and was just contacted by a person who changed their date of birth only to realise it lost all their qualification details and other extra fields we have added.

I just did the same on my test record and the same thing happened sorry. I have a number of custom fields I have created. One of which is Date of Birth. We also have Qualification Start Date, Expiry Date and Level of Qualification and Employer. These all get stripped of data after changing the DOB

Please could you have look and help as soon as possible as we could lose a lot of vital data everytime some one changes their data?

Extra Info: It is linked to the new functionality of Edit in Profile I think. I have played around with the custom fields settings and basically any fields that are set to Edit in Profile = No - Get totally cleared out and deleted once you click Update Profile.

We store qualification details about people that they can see but we don't allow them to edit so they can't put themselves up from Level 1 to Level 2 or they can't extend their expiry dates for example.

We do allow them to change their date of birth or where they work and then click update and I have seen that once they change a custom field that is set to Edit in Profile = Yes - these changes remain but any of the other fields that are set to Edit in Profile = No - they get deleted at the same time and this is a big problem for us as we are losing data about our members now.

I think it is since we introduced the Edit in Profile update as that has been a brilliant addition as I wrote in another Forum topic but not if it is deleting the other data. I really need help with this as soon as possible please

Please could you let me know when you get chance to look at this or if you need any further information from me?
I am turning all the custom fields off the user profile screen until I hear back as over the weekend we have had quite a lot of members update details and lose their qualification history with us.

For this issue, better please submit a support ticket so that we can check it directly on your site:

1. Give us super admin account of the site

2. Give me a subscriber account which is having this issue

3. Tell us step by step what we need to do to see the issue

We are going to check to see why the issue happens and get it sorted

Just wanted to say a public thank you Tuan for all the help you gave me through the support ticket and the fix up you did to get this working.

This feature has been a real big step forward for us and we love the control it gives us and our Members to find information. We are really using it a lot since you released it.

I am breaking up for our Christmas holidays tomorrow so also wanted to wish all at OS Solution the best for 2018 and thanks for all the many improvements, the support and the great changes made throughout 2017.
