Current Members vs New Members (price increases) was created by John Willems
I have asked about the impact of increased costs to current customers who have a recurring payment. I understand if I increase the monthly subscription it only impacts new subscribers. This is the behavior we want so that is good.
We also have current customers who subscribe on an Annual basis but that is not recurring. We would like to find a way to allow our current Annual subscribers to stay at the current pricing. Then have new annual subscribers pay an increased price.
The goal is protect our 'charter members' and allow them to continue at the current rates indefinitely.
So far as I can see Membership Pro does not natively do this. Is there a way to have a membership plan for a specific Joomla group, for example, create a group called 'Charter'? Add current members to that 'Charter' group and then show that plan only to those users in that group?
If there is another or better way to do this I would appreciate hearing about it. Also if Joomla groups will not work for this purpose I would like to know that.
Thanks

Hi John
You should be able to show that plan to Charter user group only. As you said:
1. Create Charter user group. This should be child group of registered group
2. Create a new access level called Charter, only select Charter user group for this new access level
3. Edit the plan you just created, set Access parameter to Charter
Then it should work as expected
Regards,
Tuan

I will see if I can this logic to work. I missed the access level so I need to work on that as well.
