Prevent Immediate cancellation of recurring member

we have defined a 12 month recurring membership - 1st payment covers materials etc, followed by 11 normal payments. We want tp prevent the user from cancelling out before the 12 month term - is this possible? Failing that is it possible to disbale the cancel subscription button in My Subscriptions Profile?

It is not possible to prevent that as users can always login to his payment gateway account and cancel the recurring subscription from there if needed

If you really want to remove the cancel button from profile page, we can help editing the code
