State list was created by vito
Hi,
I'm working with membership Pro joomla component in an association website. Checking registration form, the state list doesn't work. I checked the configuration as Country and States without solution. Another info for you, I'm working with Italian translation.
Thank you in advance,
Vito

Thank you for your answer, but I'm not sure about it because Country works. Also the website is in local server at moment so I should solve the problem by myself.

Had the same problem ...
My site used HTTP, not https ... i.e. it is not secured by default
... Global Configuration, server ...
BUT
OS Membership configuration was set by default to use HTTPS [secured]
So guessing there's an AJAX call to get STATE that failed because of the mismatch
Solution 1: set OS membership to NOT use HTTPS
Solution 2: set both to use HTTPS

The field countries work because it is just displayed data from database. The state field is different, when you select a country, the system will make an AJAX request to query all states from that selected country to display in the states dropdown
That's where the issue happens. Sometime. it happens because of javascript conflict, sometime, it happens because wrong https configuration as Christopher mentioned
So better, setup your site to a server which we can access so that we can give necessary support when it is needed
