members directory was created by Chris Moyses
I would like to have access to the members directory on the front end of my site but by default it not display any results until the membership number was entered in the search field.
We run meets and the idea is that the organisers when they receive a request to attend can enter the membership number and the result will confirm eligibility to attend.
the default if the module is enabled is to display all members and this could potentially cause conflict with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) that are due to come into force in May 2018.
Can anyone suggest a way to achieve this?

Hi Mike
Unfortunately, for this, you will have to perform customization to the extension. Right now, the system will just display list of subscribers

Tuan

Thank you Tuan for your reply - I will look into the options for this.
I have created a new group so that I can limit the number of users that have access to the members directory through the front end. My committee have asked if it is possible to restrict the search function to just the membership number field. at the moment it searches on the first name, last name, email and membership id.

Hi Mike
This would require some customization to the code. Due to the way the system store Membership ID in database (just number without prefix), it will take sometime for customization and we will have to charge you 30$ if you really need it
If you agree, please submit a support ticket so that we can discuss more details about how to get it done
