Use Membership Pro to setup an joomla extension up

I have made a joomla extension I want to make commercial. What stops me from doing this is the new Joomla! System Update which works well with free extensions but which I have not found an easy solution for when it comes to commercial extension.

It is no longer possible to publish an extension in JED without using this Joomla! System Update, and I was wandering if Membership Pro could provide such a solution. As far as I have understood, the Update System needs some kind of unique ID and some way to authenticate and find if the ID is still active/valid (i.e. current active subscription in Membership).

Is it possible to use Membership Pro to set up such an service? I guess you have already figured out a way to solve this as you extension is commercial and works well in JED.

Membership Pro doesn't support this feature yet. However, since you are second developer want to use Membership Pro with Joomla Updates, I will try to see whether I can implement supports for it with the Download Manager plugin provided in Membership Pro

I will give you answer within this week whether it could be implemented
