Issues with subscription renewals was created by Eric vanBok
Joomla 3.7.5
PHP 7.0.23
Membership Pro 2.10.2
Using Authorize.net for credit card processing
We are having an issue with subscription renewals. Purchases of new subscriptions are working fine. This problem only is with renewals.
When someone renews, they are able to go through the renewal process. They fill out the renewal form, enter their payment details, and complete the transaction. However, they don't see the thank you message as they should. They are redirected to the home page and then see a system error message that says "Invalid Subscription Code".
They never get the email from Membership Pro letting them know the transaction was a success. The subscription record in Membership Pro is created however there are issues in the record. The Payment Method is not set to credit card as it should be. The Net and Gross Amounts are not set to anything, so it shows that zero dollars were collected. The Transaction ID is set though, and the record is active. And the transaction with Authorize.net is successful. The money is collected.
Has anyone seen this issue before? Any idea how to fix it?

Hi Eric
No one reported issue like that before, so I don't really know why the issue like that happening. Could you please go to Membership Pro ->Configuration, look at the config option Subscription renewal behavior, make sure it is set to Create new subscription?

I checked and it was set to Update Subscription, not Create New Subscription.
So does this mean that the new feature does not work properly? This client would rather have the subscription records update, not always creating new subscriptions.

Hi Eric
Might be the reason causing the error. I will have to check it more and get back to you later
(I didn't notice this issue myself during my development and testing)
So for now, maybe set it to Create New Subscription for the time being. I am going to check and get back to you later if this is a bug from this new behavior

OK. I have changed that setting now and will wait for you to get back to me on it.
This one client would really like to have a single record updated instead of having new records all the time. So if you could fix it, that would be great.
Thanks for your help.
