Does iDevAffiliate still integrate with MPro well? was created by PhoenixUK
Hi Tuan,
I tried out another affiliate provider Joomlathat's AffiliateTracker but I couldn't take to it. However, I seem to recall previous threads and iDevAffiliate was mentioned.
I note from their site that it's "Their" MembershipPro" plugin, not one run by yourself - however, as far as you're concerned (I will contact them also to make sure on their side) that it is still compatible with MPro etc please?
Regards,

It should. But as I said, the plugin is maintained by them, so better contact them and ask them about it
If they need latest version to check, please tell them to drop me an email to services@joomdonation.com and I will send it to them

Hi Tuan,
I spoke with them before purchasing and they do keep their plugin up to date etc. However, I'm running in to a bit of an issue and they've asked me to ask you, so please find below the issue I'm currently experiencing and then the 2nd part is what they have come back to me with, and a request that I'm hoping can bring a resolution regarding the Webhook URL.
Problem:
Hi There,
I'm a good way in to having my idevaffiliate system configured but I noted when I signed up for my website, with a dummy account that it registered a £0.00 commission.
However, my commissions are only to be served when a completed purchase is made through OS Membership Pro, which I've integrated following the instructions.
Can you possibly direct me, as to what I may have slightly wrong in my idev setup, that would cause the above to happen please, it would be much appreciated.
My initial reply, then their latest reply & request:
A few things..
(Q) Can I ask then, does this mean that there’s no way to resolve this at my end or can I ask Tuan of MembershipPro for a different webhook that is only fired for idevs plugin, once an actual subscription plan is purchased, as opposed to currently it is firing one just for users signing up for a free ISKH website account?
(A) We use the hook called onMembershipActive which again is likely called regardless the price. "Most" webhook integrations we do work from something like "onInvoicePaid" or something like that so the hook is only called after an actual payment occurs. You can check with them to see if they have an alternate hook we can use, sure. Also know, "onInvoicePaid" is an example only and likely does not really exist.
(Q) Or, are you saying it will fire a commission on website sign-up but I will be able to ignore these
(A) I'm saying its triggered exactly as it reads... when a membership is tagged as being 'active'.
(Q) and when the same affiliates clients actually subscribe for our paid plans, that will also trigger a commission?
(A) Unless the hook name can be changed (above), you'd have to either ignore them or we can probably give an update that says something like "if commission amount is greater than 0 make the call to our processing file. If not, do nothing". This would be last resort. I'd check with them for a different hook first.
So Tuan, my question is - is there an available different Webhook URL that I can direct them that's usable, that will actually trigger commissions upon successful membership pro subscription plan creation and not at present, just for signing up for an account on my site?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi
They can still use onMembershipActive. It is triggered for both free and paid subscriptions
Maybe they can add a check so that the commission will only processed for paid subscriptions, something like this
Adding that check will avoid processing commissions for free subscriptions

Code:
if ($row->gross_amount > 0)
{
// Process here

Great Tuan, makes sense to me and I will send them over the idea and see if they're willing to integrate it in their MembershipPro plugin.
