Is there a setting where I can adjust this?
When someone's paid membership expires, for some number of days they can still login and renew (I place them in registered group when sub is expired). When they login, they see the renew option. But at some point, sometime within about 20 days, when they log in, they only see they are logged in but no visible renew option What I want is that the renew screen always stays visible as long as they are registered status, no matter how many days it has been since they expired.

My solution is not so elegant during the early time period. I created a Membership Pro View module for registered users only that shows the renew option. During those first days after expiration, they see both the module and the (correct) renewal option when they login - so they see the option twice. However, after ~20 days, they see only the module I created. Without it, they are in a big do-loop and become very frustated. I also show the membership status module so they can see they do not have an active subscription.

My "landing page" when someone logs in is registered. Is says only "Remember, you just be a member to view Member Resources." Then, all my member-only info I want them to see on the landing page, I place in modules above the article content. So, when expired and they login, they only see the 'Remember, ... " sentence. This is the page that they also see the renew option from Membership Pro in the early days after expiration.

Anyway, I am wondering if I missed a setting somewhere. How many days after a membership has expired, and user is in registered group, should that member see "Renew" option placed by Membership Pro component when he logs in?

Thank you so much. Vicky

Hello Vicky

By default, renew option should always be displayed, no matter how many days subscribers had expired. So you are saying that subscribers don't see any renew options after certain day? Do you have an account which is having this issue right now?

Tuan

All, I think I misunderstood how/when the renew option displays. While I feel I saw this as described, now I can't replicate this.

After Tuan viewed my ticket and commented ... I reallzed I need to create a menu item for renew. I created a menu called "My Profile" and placed this in a module, set to 'registered' (expired subs go there) and made it visible on the login landing page (and other pages). So, whether active or expired, users can see this menu, and now see menu options for both "User Profile" and "Renew". Even though one can see renew option in User Profile, I added second menu item "Renew" just so that it was visually more obvious.

I somehow thought users had to be ACTIVE to update profile, etc. Now, after playing around with this, I see they can do all this even as expired members. So, my solution was to make this module visible to expired and active members.

I apologize for my misunderstanding and any confusion. Thank you for your help in sorting this out!
