How to avoid username was created by Barbablu
I would avoid username field.
Can customers enter with email and password rather then username and password?

Go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, set the config option Use Email As Username to Yes and it should work as expected

I have 2 different pages (one for login and one for join). Your solution does not work for me.
Is there another solution when you have 2 different pages?

Hello

If you want to have a separate page for login, you will need to use Joomla core Login page
