Hello,
I am testing Renew Options for Membership Pro 2.8.4 via PayPal sandbox now.
My test user has a membership whose validity period is from 2017/05/09 to 2017/09/09. And he has renewed the membership whose validity period is from 2017/09/10 to 2017/11/10. He could see the Thank You page after paying via PayPal.
At this time, when he accessed to Subscription History page, it was displayed as follows;
2017/05/09 To 2017/09/09 : Active
2017/09/10 To 2017/11/10 : Pending
I feel strange about "Pending" display, is this display normal? Or am I making a mistake?

If it is possible, please test it using PayPal Live Mode. PayPal sandbox, sometime, no reliable and might cause this strange issue
Basically, after you process renewal, make payment, the status of the record should be active, not Pending like that
I have the feeling that PayPal IPN doesn't work for that payment for some reason, so Membership Pro is not aware of the payment and it causes the issue. Testing it with Live Mode should help solving the issue
