I want them to register first, then they get access to the shop.

Your question is not very clear to me. What's the shop you are talking about? Membership Pro extension actually doesn't have shop..

Okay, i described it wrong.
I just don't want users to get referred automatically to the subscription plans on registering. They should register for free before and then they got access to the subscription plans.

Users can then access to that menu item to register for a Joomla account. I guess you did that already, maybe it doesn't work because you are having this plugin published membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/miscel...tion-redirect-plugin
Please go to Extensions -> Plugins, find and unpublish the plugin. After that, it should work as expected
