new subscribers access problem. was created by Bruce Angus
Just noticed a recent problem. New registrants who get added to two "classes" (access levels), but they are unable to access the actual articles (class material) for the 2 respective access levels. The subscription plan adds the client the 2 access levels at the same time...this was confirmed looking at their user accounts in Joomla.
If they clients registers using the individual registration plans (instead of the "combined" plan)...they are able to access the articles.
I've made a few other multi-access level registration plans before this and they are still working fine.
Any ideas of where else to start?
I tried duplicating the plan (for the multi-access level registration) but it also seem to be "glitchy". The students are able to access one level but not another (at the article level). At the category level, they can see the index of the articles on one access level (the category is at the same access level as the articles), but not view the articles.
Sorry if I'm a bit wordy. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Update on the problem: See attached file for an error message that I am now receiving. I logged in with a test account that had access to a 3-level (3 access level) class called Loose Leash Walking Level 1 2 or 3. The account had access to all 3 levels. Today they are only able to access Level 1 classes and when the account tries to access the 2nd or 3rd level class material, they receive this message. These are "subscriptions" that had been created a number of weeks ago and had been working fine...up until recently. So the access problem seems to be extending to former students who have already paid and been given access to material prior to our latest registration this week.

Hello Bruce
Without having to access to your site to check the setup and understand your requirement, there is no chance for me to know what's wrong
In this case, submit a support ticket:
1. Sending me super admin account of your site
2. Tell me how you want it to work.
3.Give me an account, tell me what I need to access to and see the problem
I will then check to see what's wrong and guide you to correct it. Look like a complicated acl setup to me

Hi Taun,
I submitted the details of my account and access.
I noticed for my users, their access to certain access levels seems to be randomly mixed up.....material they had access to a few days ago now seems to be denied and they are message that they are now requiring subscriptions to access this material, subscriptions that they have already purchased and are still active.
Looks to me like some sort of data base mix up happening.

Thanks for clearing up my mess. I had the Membership Pro Articles Restriction activated....which seem to confuse the system.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Yes. You had too methods for access restriction. Somehow, it is not setup properly (and actually, you should only use one method). I'm glad we were able to get the issue sorted
