Using discount coupon but still charges credit

Hi,
I've opened a new site today with monthly subscriptions and so far the plugin works great except for something we've just noticed. We've done multiple registration testing before putting live but we did not expect that.

We give out coupons to potentials users to have 9.95$ discount, corresponding to the first month of use. The website shows the correct information on the invoice being a discount of 9.95$ for a total of 0$ for the first month. But what we have noticed is that the plugin still sends a payment request to STRIPE and the customer got charged for the 1st month, even by using the coupon ...

Might be a problem with the plan configuration, can you help !? Thanks

Could you please attach a screenshoot of your subscription plan setting? If it is a recurring subscription plan, then the request is being sent to Stripe is correct but users should be be charged for the first month, only following months

Also, what version of Membership Pro you are using? Are you using latest version 2.8.3?

I am using 2.8.0 right now. I saw that the 2.8.3 is correcting Paypal issues which we are not using.
