Question regarding changing the subscription lengt was created by Jason Shico
Hi we have a question, we have setup our subscription length for a plan every 12 months.
now customers have already paid and subscribed to the subscription for the 12 months through PAYPAL.
now we understand the renewal will start 12 months after they signup.
however, can we change the expired date to say the end of December this year, if so, will that then send existing members renewal notifications in the month of December say if we set our reminders 12 days before the expired date we just set above?

Hello Jason
If you change expired date of the subscription record to the end of December 31-12-2017 for example, the system will send reminder at 19-12-2017 (12 days before expired date)
Not sure if that's what you need?

hi when you say, change the expired date of the subscription record, do you mean under Subscribers > edit each subscription and change the date there?
And if so, what about the subscription agreement that they entered in with PayPal, does that mean that automatically updates the subscription in their PayPal account with a new date?

Ah, it seems you want to change the date in plan to effect reminders function only. Unfortunately, it is not possible, the system send reminder emails because on subscription end date of each record, so you will need to update subscription end date of all records you want to change. Doing that would be problems:
1. Subscribers loose their subscription duration (for example, if their current subscription is expired by March 2018 but you changed it to December 2017)
2. No, the system won't change the subscription at PayPal and I don't think PayPal allows you to change it, even manually
So I guess for this one, you should find a different solution

Hi Tuan, thanks for your latest reply.
Ok, let me ask, we have set it as a subscription length of 12 months.
We just put in a expired date for the end of Dec 2017.
See this screenshot: snag.gy/JLb9og.jpg
So to confirm, all subscriptions will expire from the 31st of Dec moving forward? Not 12 months as it is stated above?
I look forward to your reply.
Thanks,
Jason
