Issue with Membership pro with currency conversion was created by Jason Shico
hi there, we are having a slight issue with our membership pro.
we have it set in australian dollars.
and we have set a tax of 10% for australian only customers.
we have a plan which is $24.95 including the tax.
however, if someone outside of australia orders the subscription plan it does not charge them the tax.
so customers outside australia are paying less.
how do we set a set price for the rest of the world not affecting the australian pricing with tax for australian customers?
I look forward to your reply.
thanks,
jason

Hello Jason
You would need to go to Membership Pro -> Tax rules, setup two tax rules
1. For the first rule, set Tax Rate to 0, Country to All.
2. For the second rule, set Tax Rate to 10, choose australian as the country
Regards,
Tuan

thanks for your excellent support.
but the base price for the plan is like 22.68, and for australian customers it adds 10% and makes it $24.95 but for international they will still pay 22.68.
So we want australian customers to pay 22.68 plus the 10% which is $24.95
And we want international customers to pay just $24.95 with 0% tax.
Look forward to your reply.

Jason

Sorry Jason. So basically, you have two different price in this case and it is not supported by Membership Pro at the moment
The only workaround at the moment is setting up two plans, one for International customers and one for Australian customers. Otherwise, there would be some/many modifications needed to make it works as you want

Tuan,
Is it possible, if one adopts your workaround in message #94976, to have the local version of the product only visible to local IP addresses and the remainder products only visible to foreign IP addresses?
