Can I set a member to Cancelled / Closed?

Normal workflow would be:

Pending -> Active -> Expired ==> Reminder emails sent before Expired, or even after.

So if a member tells me they don't want to renew how can I stop the system sending reminder emails, but not suspend their access. Is there/ could there be an option:

Pending -> Active -> Closed (which means that when expiry date is reached all the standard expiry actions are sent but the reminders don't send)

I had a similar problem and solved it by creating a new plan called ex-members with lifetime membership and no reminder emails. When members want to leave switch them to the ex-member plan and their details remain on record but no reminders sent.

Thanks for sharing the solution Trevor. At the moment, I guess it is the only option as it is something has not been supported by Membership Pro yet

I will think about this case and find a way to implement support for it in Membership Pro in the future
