read only field in front end was created by Chris Moyses
is it currently possible to have a membership pro custom field that can be viewed by the member once logged in but can't be modified by the member.
I have set up joomla to allow members to view and amend their profile covering name address etc but would like a txt area field that can only be modified by an admin (through the back end). We need to be able to record information about members - e.g. if they have been spoken to about breaking rules etc but for data protection reasons the member needs to be able to view this and comment if applicable.

Hi Mike
It is honestly, not possible at the moment. We can make a field readonly by adding readonly into Extra information property of the custom field
However, doing that also make the field readonly for admin, too
I will remember this user-case and will find a solution for it in the next release of the extension
For now, if you really need it, you can submit a support ticket sending us:
1. Super admin account of the site
2. Let us know the name/id of the field you want to be readonly
We are going to edit the code and get it sorted for you
Regards,
Tuan

Tuan.
Thank you for the speedy reply. This is something that we need to implement but can wait a short while to do it. where notes are currently held on a club member they are stored on a paper record held by one person and we want to bring these all together onto the membership pro database.
