I'm setting up a page with Subscription plans in columns layout, which I will want to use as a first landing page in some cases. So that new visitors to the site can sign up as simple members (free) I created a basic plan (Club), as well as other paid plans, which they can either sign up to or upgrade to later.
However, it seems to be possible for an existing site member to create a membership through this plan, even though they are already a site member. I really would like to avoid this possibility, since they are just creating meaningless membership accounts, and most of my users will be basic free members, However, I would like the plans page to have both the option to login, which you have set up through the "show login box on subscription page" option, and also to register (as Community Builder account in this case, but it makes no real difference) as simple site members. Maybe the best option is to include a link to the CB registration page elsewhere? I do like the way with the plans I can stress the benefits of membership, however, but I would really like to avoid the admittedly rare possibility of a site user logging in and then joining as a Club member thinking they were going to get something more.
