Spam Through Registration Form

Hi Tuan,

Just now i received report from my hosting service that there are overload access through my registration page/form. This could possibly spam/bots overwhelming the system. At the moment i have to shut down Membership Pro plugin trying to stop the spam. My question is that before i activate it again, what should i do to prevent future similar events? (I'm not using Captcha at the moment) Will installing Captcha help to solve this matter permanently?

Hi Rheza

If you receive spam registration, yes, you should setup captcha to prevent spam registration. And Yes, doing that will prevent spam bots from registering to the system

Also, maybe your hosting provider can also looking for the IP of these requests and help blocking these IPs, too
