Error - OS Membership User Module was created by John Willems
When I login as a user and go my MP User Profile I get an error message. Not a helpful error just an error on the page. I then noticed the State comboBox was not loading the state data,

I am using MP version 2.6.1 Any idea as to how I correct the error?

Is it possible to roll back to an earlier verion of MP without deleting the entire site? That assumes the error is in 2.6.0 or 2.6.1 which may not be the case.

Hi John

This indicate that there is a javascript conflict somehow on the site. Please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of the site and the link to the page which we can see the error (include an account which we can login and access to that page, too)

We will then check and solve this issue right away

Tuan

Before I saw this post I started to rebuild my site from the beginning. I am sure you are correct about the javascript issue.
There were a few things I learned in the process. The first is you need to install v2.6.0 before installing 2.6.1. The first version makes some changes in the database which 2.6.1 does not do. You get sql errors all over the place.

What seemed to cause the error was when I installed the Purity III template which is based on the T3 Framework. Since the template for sale on your site is based on the T3 framework I thought would be a safe choice. That does not appear to be the case.

I am recreating content and need to add in 3 subscriber records to bring me current. Thank heavens for database backups.

Hmm

That sound strange to me. The way it work is that if the database structure was not changed in version 2.6.0 (or earlier version), it will be changed when you install newer version 2.6.1...

About the javascript conflict, sometime, it happens and it doesn't really depend on the framework you are using. Usually, for the issue like that, we would have a developer to look at it and solve it (quite easy, I think)

I will keep that in mind.

What I found was when I installed MP using 2.6.1 I was getting SQL errors. It mentioned missing fields in the os_membership_subscribers table. I believe the field was from_plan_date.

When I looked at the db that field was not there. When I looked at an old backup copy from 8/6 that field and some other were in the table.

I installed 2.6.0 and it gives a message about making changes to the database. When I opened my database the missing fields were now in the table. I then installed v.2.6.1 to make it current. So far its working though I am about to wrap it up for the day. I have been on this about 12 hours. Reloading Joomla multiple times and finally starting with clean site.

I hope another few hours tomorrow and I will be back in business.

Thanks for the response! I should have said that first.- sorry
