Is this possible to acomplish with 1 plan?
Use case as follow:
One plan with 4 radiobuttons indicating the lengh of subscription (e.g 3month, 6month, 9month and 12month)
every lengh has it's own price.
Depending of which radiobutton that is checked the plan adapts to it.
Or
Do I have to set up 4 different plans (3month, 6month, 9month and 12month) to acomplish this.
I would prefer the radiobuttons but if that is not doable I have to go for 4 plans.
If not doable right now could this be a feature request for a (near?) future?
If the problem can be solved why worry? If the problem can not be solved, worrying will do you no good.

For now, you will have to setup 4 different plans. I will think more about this case and might add support for it in the future. However, to be honest, It could not be very soon. You will have to wait for at least 6 weeks from now as right now, I have other features I want to work on first

Tuan

Thanks Tuan for concidering to add this feature to the extension.
6 weeks is not a special long time so I will wait for you.
Right now I'll just add 4 different plans, no problem.
Thanks a lot
Cheers

A great question you have posed and one that I'm sure many of us come up against, me included. I have a hefty number of products coming online but need to offer the recurring 12 month contracts but then also 2 and 3 year versions of the same product(s) but different pricing, as the time length of the contract increased, then the plan price reduces a little kind of thing.
Therefore, whilst Turan is busy at present a definite +1 from me for this in the near future please Tuan.

How's this looking Tuan out of interest please?
Just to add to my previous reply to the original posters above;
This would save SO MUCH admin time when setting up several / many various product plans, as let's say we have 5 actual products or services that we want to sell memberships for but we need to offer monthly, annual, 2 and 3 year versions for each of the 5 would = setting up 20 TWENTY actual plans to achieve this = humongous time taken to achieve this.
However, with Stephen's original post and idea to you, it would ultimately only be in my example above 5 products / services plans but able to add varied subscription lengths with their own pricing and voilà... this would be a huge step forward in end admin user usability and time management improvements, which can only be positive right.

I would like the ability to have different lengths within a single plan. If this does get implemented we might also need to take in to account the need to upgrade the plan to a longer period and extend the subscription by the chosen amount.

+1 for your above thoughts too, makes sense.

We have the same membership access level, but three plans: 1 year, 2 year and 3 year.
Members can renew their plans for 1 year, 2 years, or 3 years.
Here is where they all get very confused:
Let's say they initially paid for the plan "1 Year Membership"
Then, later, they renew that plan for three years.
That works fine. But the user account page still shows the name of the original plan: "1 Year Membership" even though the date has changed
I suggest two possible solutions:
1. Upsell at checkout -- if the renewal options fields are configured for a plan, make it so that someone purchasing the plan can "add more time" to their plans by selecting one of the renewal options (radio buttons). So in my scenario, I have three renewal options: 1 year, 2 years, 3 years. Those options would just be added to the signup screen.
2. Add a new "Upsell" field, similar to the Renewal options field in the current membership plans. And simply allow user to add more time to their original purchase. Then the renewal field would be separate and could have different values.
Tuan, I'm willing to pay to add this feature..

I will update you (whether I can implement it on Monday). If I can implement, when it should be available....

1. Values:
1 Year
2 Years
3 Years
2. Default Values:
1 Year
3. Fee Field: Yes
4. Fee Values:
0
100
200
5. Subscription End Date Modification
No
+1 Year
+ 2 Years
When someone subscribe for the plan (subscription length 1 Year in this case)
1. If they choose 1 Year from dropdown, he won't be charged any additional fee. No days will be added to his subscrition end date
2. If they choose 2 Years, they will be charged extra 100$ and his original subscription end date will be added 1 year
3. If they choose 3 Years, they will be charged extra 200$ and his original subscription end date will be added 2 years
Not sure if you get the logic? Will that work?
Tuan
