Setup or Joining Fee was created by Jeff
Hi,
We want to be able to charge a setup/joining fee+annual subscription fee. On joining subscriber pays setup/joining fee of $100 and annual fee of $100 = total first year of $200..
However when the subscribers renews for the second and subsequent years they pay only $100 annual subscription.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks
Jeff

I got maybe a solution for you, but it does not seems very nice to the form
go to membership pro back-end > customs field >
add a name / titlle
choose field type: radio
description: 1 time setup fee
required : yes
fee field: yes
fee values: +100
down of the page> published
and hide on membership renewal: yes

Hi Jeff
The plan is onetime subscription plan or recurring subscription plan? If it is a recurring plan, there is a different (better setup):
1. Subscription Length: 1 year
2. Price: 100$
3. Trial duration: 1 year
4. Trial amount: 200$
4. Recurring subscription: Yes
With that setup, the fist year, subscribers will have to pay 200$. Then from second year, they will only have to pay 100$
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
I have set this configuration up in the subscription plan but the trial amount is not showing in the Invoice or the instructions for offline payment.

Offline payment isn't a recurring payment system so I'm not sure it will work!

Jeff - there is usually more than one way to achieve the same thing. In this case there are THREE!
1 The recurring subs option with a trial price - not a solution for you because it needs a recurring payment processor that can automatically handle billing.
2 The renewal price option: on Right Hand Side of the Plan set-up there is a Renewal Fee section. You'd set your Plan price to $200. You'd then set the renewal box to 1 year and a price of $100. I think this is the best option for you.
3 Coupons. You could set the price for the plan as $200 and send a coupon code out called RENEW16 which would take $100 off. In one respect that has a feel good factor for the customer "Oh look I saved $100..." but it might get shared with new subscribers and someone will forget to enter it and then complain and you can only offer one coupon so if you offer $10 off for early bird renewal before they expire or something they can't enter both.
