Alright, i found out that renew/recurring can be used. But not at the same time.
Maybe a nice feature for later? that its possible to use renew (to renew for 1 or 3 months) and recurring just for 1 month

Hi
Actually, renewing a recurring subscription is hard to implement:
1. It will require cancelling the existing recurring subscription. However, not all payment gateways allow it. For example, with PayPal, you will need to login to your PayPal account to cancel the recurring subscription.
2. So actually, renewal should only be setup for one time subscription. For recurring subscription, the renewal will happens automatically and controlled by the payment gateway and Membership Pro. Users won't have to do anything to renew their recurring subscription
Regards,
Tuan

Hi,
About (1), in CBSubs it was indeed possible to cancel a subscription from your own homepage via Paypal, _but_, you needed to provide PayPal account API Username, password and signature to your payment gateway. Any plans to implement such a feature?

Hi Olle
That's PayPal Pro. And If you use PayPal Pro, you can cancel the recurring subscription from your membership pro user profile
If you use PayPal Standard, it is not possible
