"Access" parameter in Plan Detail

I write to ask the purpose of the "Access" parameter in the Plan Detail parameters.

This is found in Plan Manager > Edit Subscription Plan > Basic Information > Plan Detail, after the "Send Third Reminder" parameter.

The available values are Public, Registered, and Special. Why would I use each of these?

Basically, it controls who can see the plan in the frontend of your site. In most case, you should set it to Public. It works in the same way with Access on other places in Joomla (articles, categories, contacts....)
