I notice in the documentation there is the option for a customer to upgrade their subscription. Unless I am missing something, this only works for one-off payments (not recurring subscriptions)?

I set this up and although the upgrade option appears with $15 (in my case) to upgrade to the higher plan, when the customer goes to pay for the upgrade, they are charged for the total of the higher plan ($90), not the $15 upgrade fee.

Hi John

Yes. Right now, upgrade can only work for one time subscription, not recurring subscription. The reason is because there is no way for us to use an API to cancel their previous recurring subscription (for example, if you use PayPal payment standard, it is not possible to cancel recurring payment from within your site....)

It is possible with credit card based payment gateway. However, as it is not supported by all payment gateways, I haven't had a chance to implement it yet
