integration acymailing and Membership pro

I am wondering if any progress has been made on this. I have set up Membership Pro but can't get Acymailing newsletter subscription options to show on the subscription form. I can see it comes up when you go to edit your profile, but I would like subscribers to have the option to subscribe to acymailing lists when they subscribe.

About two years ago I asked you about the integration of acymaling list in membership pro which you wonderful did Still happy with the integration and membership pro in general .

However what I just now discovered is that if people renew their subscription after a year through membership pro and decide to untick newsletters boxes they subscribed to before, they are not unsubscribed automatically from the acymailing lists and I have to do that manually. Could this be handled automatically as well? In light of the new GDPR law coming up it would be great if this is handled by the system automatically. We don't have this untick option. Actually, when users sign up or renew, if they untick, they won't be subscribed if they haven't before

To allow users to unsubscribe, I think it should be handled via ACYMailing somehow, maybe creating a menu item to allow users to access to their newsletter subscriptions and unsubscribe it?

We already offer subscribers to unsubscribe from our newsletters through Acymailing when we send these. But it would have been nice if the integration with Membership pro and acymaling would work both ways; automatically ad people to an acymailing list when filling out the form of membership pro but also unsubscribe when people decide to renew their subscription to our magazine but are not interested anymore in the email newsletters.

I am afraid of if we do that, in case people forgot to check on the newsletter checkbox when renewal, they will be unsubscribed by accident and it is not good

I've looking at ACYMailing and Membership Pro integration and a couple of issues came up. I made use of the Mailing Lists Custom Field which takes my Interests checkboxes (Hiking, Cycling, Backpacking,...) and maps them to ACY lists. Works great but I also want to assign new users to other lists like Newsletters and Meeting Notices too. I'd like both Assign to Mailing Lists and Mailing Lists Custom Field instead of just one.

The other issue is when a user updates their profile -- either adding an interest or removing one. The ACY list subscription isn't updated. I can use the ACY subscribe/modify your subscription component but now I have two different screens showing similar but different information. Updating the user profile should also update the ACY subscriptions.

I am 6 months in after going live and ready to try this integration.
I only have one news letter,
I have in mind a mail list called 'Active' and another called 'Expired' and just let it work by itself as subscriptions come and go.
But with GDPR I have to consider subscribers who are active but dont want anything. I can leave them off the active list, but how do I stop them being added back to the Active list at their subscription renewal?
If make a third list called No news and subscribe them to that, will this override, and prevent adding back to Active at renewal?
I am assuming that if they resign, I have to manually delete from the mail lists.
