Monthly payment for annual subsription

Is there a way to setup a monthly payment for an annual plan? For instance, I have an annual plan that cost $240, but would like to break it down to 12 monthly payments of $20.

I realize I could just create a plan that costs $20, with 1 month duration, and set it to automatically renew. Is this the only way to implement monthly payments?
