Joomla Profile Field Mapping

Following these instructions:
membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/synchronize-profile-data

I edit the 'Custom Field' "email" and go to map it in 'Joomla Profile Field Mapping', but I do not see 'Email' listed. Am I misunderstanding the point of mapping with the Joomla User Profile 'Email'? Shouldn't it be listed so I can map with the Joomla User Profile?

The email is mapped with Joomla users database by default, you don't need to perform the mapping for that field. It is not needed and infact, it is always mapped with email field of Joomla

I just wanted to pick up on this thread and ask how this works please.

We have subscribers that when we change their email under subscribers, this changes their email address in their joomla profile too - which is great.

It doesn't do it in reverse though does it? In that if you change their email address in their Joomla User Profile it will change it in their Membership Pro Subscriber area.

We also have our members who use their email address as their Username - if this needs changes will there be a problem linking them to their membership pro in the future? Can a person change their Joomla username and have that change mapped to their Membership Pro and Event Booking profile?

At the moment, if someone changes their email in Joomla core, the changes won't be saved to Events Booking or Membership Pro

I will try to add support for it in the future, but at the moment, it is not supported
