Verification Code Not Found

When a subscriber registers, they receive this account details email:

Thank you for registering. Your account is created and must be activated before you can use it.
To activate the account select the following link or copy-paste it in your browser:
www.counselorcreated.com/component/users...1c7d4b31bc8aafc0cb16

but when you click on the link you get this error:

Warning
Registration failed: Verification code not found.

The subscription is active in Membership Pro but the Joomla User account is not enabled or activated.

I am afraid of there might be a conflict on your site causing the issue. Do you use K2 on your site? I remember K2 has a bug like that

No, I'm not using K2. I am using virtuemart with vm vendor installed. Any suggestions to correct the problem?

If so, I don't have any other clues. Could you please help submitting a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that I can check to see what's causing the issue and get it sorted for you?
