We are also using CB in our new site, so we would also like to know how this will work with Community Builder, as we must use this for our members profiles and such.
thanks for your help so far.
Kind Regards
Alan

You can read documentation at membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/synchronize-profile-data to understand how it works. Membership Pro is integrated with different extensions and it works in the same way

No, it works in a different way. After choosing to subscribe for a plan, users will enter data on subscription form of membership pro, process payment...
After payment is completed, Membership Pro will create a CB account for the user automatically.

Tuan
Thanks Tuan,
Im wondering about the password for already registered users its cant be exported from AEC or CB. do you have any comment about this.
Also is there a translation to Norwegian languages or must I translate everything's from English.

Ibrahim

Thanks Tuan, it is a pleasure to see such great service from you and your members (Peter) many thanks again!
In reading about your component we may not need to use CB or Joom Social anymore. In the past we needed to have many field options shown during registration so we had to use CB or JS. But with your offering this is all in your competent so i don't believe we will need CB for the site we are in the process of migrating. I am not sure if this will complicate our migration or simplify it but we will need to think a little differently.
Are we able to import data from Joom Social into your system? User data like location and phone numbers and any other fields we have created? As we could easily create these custom fields in Membership pro and populate those instead.
This would save us huge time as the current site runs JommSocial with JXPTI, AEC Membership Component and Kunena.

No, we don't have a tool to migrate data from Jomsocial. You will need to find a way to export your Jomsocial data into a csv file and then use CSV import feature to import these users into Membership Pro
That's the only way for now. Or you can hire someone to write a script to migrate the data for you (not us at this time because I wan to focus to working to improve the product now, that's my most important task)

Peter Kuhlmann wrote: Hi there,
we had the same problem! AEC is no more supported and we need to migrate the AEC to Membership PRO.
At first: There is no migration script to do the migration
1.) Setup your plans and setup Membership Pro to the same variable as show in AEC
2.) Export your members from AEC with the needed fields, like this: ( See the green field on image)plan_name;user_username;user_first_first_name;user_last_name;user_email;subscription_status;subscription_lastpay_date;subscription_expiration_date
3.) Import the members into Membership PRO ( Import CSV)
membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/subscr...t/import-subscribers
Sorry, but there is no other way to do the migration from AEC to membership Pro.
PS: Please dont do the migration on live site, create a clone site and test all settings and subscriptions
Membership Pro is a top extension and I never had a better support, thanks to Tuan and his team!
Again i wanted to thank you for your help so far, we have been successful in importing data using this above mentioned method. We were even able to import our custom fields from Joomsocial into your Membership pro and this was especially nice.
I did a sample import from one member and it seems to have worked great. I do have a few questions about these imported members and maybe Peter you can answer this for me. Does the information come back from PayPal and update the imported members status? So they continue to have access to the site?
Thanks again for all your help.

Paypal sends its payment confirmation messages to an AEC page. So simply migrating the data through the CSV export and import wont crack that. It **MAY** be possible for some clever coding to intercept that message to AEC and pass it on to MemberPro - or it may not.

At the moment, I am trying that plugin for Akeeba subscription for one Membership Pro customer and waiting for next recurring payment happens. If it works, then I can use the same approach for AEC
