Problem with Dependent Form Entries was created by Elliot Block
Hi Tuan,
I am trying to create some new form fields which are dependent upon other form fields. I am having a lot of trouble with the initial appearance of the page though.
Example:
Field 1 (required field that has no default value so that user is forced to consciously make decision):
Are you a member of the foundation? (Yes/No radio button)
Field 2 (required and only visible if the answer to field 1 is 'Yes'):
What is your name? (Text entry)
The problem that I am having is that when the page is initially loaded, Field 2 is appearing even though Field 1 has not yet been answered yet.
I have tried having the default value for Field 1 be 'No', but this also yields the same result. When the page loads, the value of Field 1 is 'No' but Field 2 still loads. When I click the 'No' selection on Field 1, Field 2 is no longer visible (correct behavior).
So the gist of the problem is that the dependent fields are not respecting the initial states of the fields on the page upon initial loading.
Any ideas?
This is occurring on version 2.1.1
Thank you!
Elliot

This was fixed on our site after they were able to see the problem with the super admin account.
They made a change to their code in order to fix it – I assume the code has been added to the latest version of Membership Pro.
Thank you!
Elliot
