Transfering members to new website was created by Alison
Hi
We are developing a new website (new domain, new brand) and we would like to export all of the membership details from our old site into the new site. Is this possible?
Obviously it is important that the members usernames and passwords are not affected.

Hi Alison
First, you will need to find out how to migrate your Joomla users database to your new site. That part is not related to Membership Pro
Then on the next step, you will need to export Membership Pro related database tables (tables with _osmembership_ prefix) from your old site, import it to your new site (make sure the two sites use same prefix for database tables)
After that, install latest version of Membership pro to the new site.
That's the steps you need to do. You might have to find a developer to help you if needed
Regards,
Tuan

Thanks Tuan
I managed to do it myself by exporting the following tables to the new site from the old site
jos_comprofiler
jos_users
jos_user_profiles
jos_user_usergroups_maps
jos_osmembership_field_value
jos_osmembership_subscribers
This updated the users to the latest status which is fantastic.
Thank you, as always, for your help in this matter.
