Translating Payment Plugin Titles and States was created by Mark McCulligh
I just purchased Membership Pro and trying to setup my site. My site is in both English and French(Canadian). There is a couple areas I cannot figure out were the translation tab is located or how to translate.
1) The Payment Plugin Titles. PayPal, Authnet, eway and offline. All in English only, not option as far as I can find to enter French version.
2) States. Again, State Name is English only. Cannot enter French translations.
Thanks,
Mark.

Hi Mark
1. We have a workaround for translating payment plugin title. You can edit the payment plugin, change the title to a language string such as OS_PAYPAL for example. Then go to Membership pro -> Translation, press New Item button in the toolbar, add that language item to the extension then translate it
2. However, for State name, we don't allow translation at the moment. We are not sure if it is really needed, so we haven't added support for it yet. To be honest, at the moment, I don't see an easy way to translate state name

Hi Mark
There are so many states, so I am afraid of we cannot use that approach like we are having for Payment Plugin. If you can afford to add these states to language file, I can help editing the code as well
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
It would be great if you can help me change the Country/State code to allow for Translations overwrites the same as Payment Plugin. Enter say OS_CANADA/OS_ONTARIO, then in the Membership pro -> Translation enter the overwrite value. Not looking to do the whole world, just going to translate US and Canada for now.
Also is it possible when the an user selects a country with no states to change the state dropdown to just textbox vs a dropdown that says “Not available”? I assume it would just be some jQuery code.
Thanks again for your help.
Mark.

Hi Mark
I will work and allow translating state as you requested. It will be included in new version of Membership Pro which I will release within this week. For replacing dropdown with a textbox, I am afraid of I don't have enough time to work on it for now. I will leave it until later releases of the extension

Tuan

Yes. I can do that. You can wait for new release of Membership Pro (version 2.1.0) on tomorrow and we will have this feature ready

Just wondering if the Country/State translation overwrite feature made it into version 2.1.0?
Thanks, Mark.
