add group member by existing member on front end was created by Brian Lisle
I would like to be able to have members that have a group membership be able to add an existing registered user like you can do in the back end. I would also like the ability to choose to only have this as a method of adding a group member in the front end. (Our members should already have an account on our site, so there would be no need for us to allow the addition of a new user during this process.) However, I would like to keep the ability to edit the profile during group member addition as there are custom fields that we collect as part of membership that are not collected upon site registration.

Hi Brian
At the moment, this feature is not available yet. I will work on it and add support for this feature, however, I think we will have to wait for about 3 more weeks to have this option available in the extension
Regards,
Tuan

That's fine. I probably won't be needing it until the 1st of the year when memberships expire / renew anyhow.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi Tuan! Any progress on this? We are getting close to having our memberships expire and could really use this.
Thanks!

Sorry Brian. I still haven't had this feature implemented yet. Will try to have it ready within this year (in the last two weeks, I have to spend most of my time to update documentation of my extensions and don't have much time to work to add new features/improvements to the extension)

Hi Tuan! Hopefully this feature is getting closer to implementation. Now, when you have a member with group members under them, when the group member renews, will it also renew the group? It should, and I'm not sure that it is.

Hi Brian
Group Members should not be allowed to renew membership, only group admin should be able to do that. That's how it should work, I think
Haven't worked on this feature yet. Last time (before my new year holiday), I focused working to implement payment API to support new payment gateways
Improving group membership is the next thing I will work on after my new year holiday

Tuan

Thanks! I would think that if a group admin renews their membership, the group would renew also. (In our case a family membership, the group admin would pay, the others are included with that membership.)

Hi Brian
Yes. If Group admin renew membership, all group members will be renewed automatically, too. It doesn't work like that on your site?

No, it didn't. It was myself as group admin, I renewed with an offline payment, then made it active, it did not renew the group member.
