Creating a test subscription no problem:
However the emails all go to the subscriber. Mine and theirs.
when the activation is sent
Hello carl carl,
Thank you for registering at NHCLA. Your account is created and must be activated before you can use it.
To activate the account select the following link or copy-paste it in your browser:
www.nhcla.com/administrator/index.php?op...c651b8a383c75509446d
acting as the subscriber I get the admin for the site, when I log in as super user, I get
Invalid controller: name='registration', format=''
I am currently manually approving them. Once approved, the user is created in Joomla, but blocked and the needed "subscriber" is not marked.
Sure it is stuff I set up wrong.

Hi Dave
The activation link above is wrong because a bug in Joomla core, it will be fixed on Joomla 3.4.5. You are using Joomla 3, correct ?
If so, please get this file, unzip it, upload to components/com_users/models folder of your site.
After that, the error above will be gone
Regards,
Tuan
