System OS Membership Cleaner - frequency

Can you please tell me how does the Plugin "System OS Membership Cleaner" work? How often does it check for users that have not make payment?

Hi Tomo

Right now, it will be run every 6 hours (it is hardcoded in the code). However, as it is a system plugin, it will require there is at least one user access to your site during that time.

If there is no-one access to the site, it won't work

Does that mean that user only has 6 hours to transfer the money and be activated by administrator?

That only affect users who use online payment method such as Paypal but doens't make payment, not users who use offline payment method

Usually, when users use online payment method such as Paypal, they will make payment right at the time they sign up for the subscription, so the cleaner just uses to clear the data (maybe someone tried to sign up for the subscription but they don't make payment when they are redirected to Paypal)

Could you please explain to me how the example below works?

0:00 | Plugin Runs
5:59 | User makes Paypal purchase
6:00 | Plugin Runs again (6 hours after the prior run)

Does this mean that the user with the 5:59 purchase has 1 minute to complete the purchase before the plugin runs again at 6:00? Or, does the plugin run once 6 hours after each purchase to clear out each individual purchase if it has not been completed?

Also - can an override be created that would allow for a different time frame? Could I alter a file to make it (for example) 48 hours?

Hi Josh

That's incorrect. When the plugin run (every 6 hours by default), it will only delete the records which was created more than 5 hours before

So actually, in this case, the user with :59 purchase has 5 hours 1 minute to complete the purchase before it is deleted.

So it is completely safe in this case to have the system works like that
