Reactivation of an expired member was created by BOULANGER
Dear Tuan,
most of my members did not renew their subscription before it ends.
On the website they can only renew if they log in first.
When they try to log in now to renew they cannot. They are blocked unless i go in their profile one by one, move their status from expired to active in oder to allow them to renew their subscription and not loose their profile completed in Community Builder.
Is there any other smarter way to solve that problem ?
How to reactivate membership in order to allow renewal ?
Thanks a lot.
Frederique

Hi Frederique
For the users who was blocked, you will have to unblock them manually one by one. To prevent this from happening in the future, please go to Extensions -> Plugins Manager, find the plugin 'OS Membership User', click on it to edit
There is a parameter called "Block account when subscription expired", I think right now, it is set to Yes. You can set it to No and it should prevent future expired subscribers from being blocked

Tuan

Can I confirm Tuan, this means they will still not have access to registered site content until they renew and pay for their membership?

That depends on the way you restrict access to restricted content. If you simply give normal registered users to access to these content, subscribers can still access to the content once their subscription expired.
So you should setup the restriction properly. See membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/resources-access-restriction for detailed instructions and choose the best method for your need
