Status during upload

I do a lot of membership uploads. When I do this the status is always changed to pending even though I changed it to active. Is this a default that I need to change. This will same me a lot time by not doing an update on each subscription.

So you are saying that when you change status of the subscription record from Pending to Active, it changes back to Pending ?

Please give me more information so that I can find the reason of the problem and guide you to change it
